No Poverty - World Bank
Almost 30% population of Pakistan lives below the poverty line. Majority of this population has the potential to leave the ""poverty trap"" but they lack skills, face serious social and cultural barriers that do not allow upward social movement of castigated segments of society (includes women), are not part of viable social networks to find jobs and livelihood opportunities, lack initiative and - above all - do not even know, leave alone access, various services offered by the government, NGOs and private sector to overcome the above challenges. The challenge for the SDG Hackathon is to devise a simple solution to undertake matchmaking of the poor with services designed to alleviate their miseries. Can this be a portal for the poor? But most are illiterate or semi-literate (polite name of illiterates!). Kindly think hard. Using technology to connect poor people with poverty alleviation programs and services
