A mobile-based app which pays users in cryptocurrency for performing a routine task.

I have an idea for an app that requires the use of crypto. Anybody here has experience using or developing with crypto (Bitcoin, Litecoin, etc)?

Edit: I am a full-stack web developer and do not have a lot of experience with app development.

The idea is an app that pays its users in a cryptocurrency for walking (or cycling, skating, skateboarding) from one place to another. The app will sense how the user is moving. After travelling a certain distance, the app will send some currency to the users' coin wallet.

This would help by:
1) Reducing carbon-footprint,
2) Saving trees and minerals used in physical currency,
3) People will be able to invest in their future,
4) Last but not the least, ending obesity!

Looking for teammates who have experience with app development and cryptocurrency.

    @Faez I tried to summarise it in the edit part.

    So, let's say I aboard the metro to go to my office. When I get off, I still have to walk some more to get to the office. On my way from the station to the office, I can turn on my app which will send me some Bitcoins after walking a distance of, let's say, 1 km.

    Hope this gives you a clearer idea.

    I just posted a similar idea. In which one of the pre-programmed transactions could possibly be what you're suggesting...

    On another note, if you simply want to collect sensor data, you should be able to do it in javascript using something like ionic or react native along with: https://cordova.apache.org/docs/en/latest/reference/cordova-plugin-device-motion/

    The activity modeling part of it also sounds really interesting but based upon what Hamid was saying earlier could you justify how this fits into one of the SDG?

    It fits into the 'Climate Action' SDG, I believe. It gives people an incentive to walk rather than drive, hence reducing carbon footprint and saving the environment. It can help fight obesity which is the fifth leading risk for death worldwide. It can also fight poverty, because nobody has every been paid for just walking.

    Everything that does accept cryptocurrency for now. Even if they're storing it, they're basically investing in their future. One lac pkr invested in Bitcoins five years ago amounts up to 2.5 crore now.
    I would download it because if I usually walk from point A to point B, why not get an app that gives me money for it? I'll be getting money for something that I do already.

    Sorry, what I meant to say was that the currency would essentially exist within the context of a game, excepting the highly unlikely event that out of thousands of cryptocurrencies in circulation it gained real monetary value.

    I'm suggesting a different kind of system, one which can be used for equitable distribution purposes by institutions such as soup kitchens, food banks, disaster management authorities and so on. Fundamentally by keeping track of the initial equal distribution of a context-specific currency representing a real constraining resource.

    @Faez: So you are suggesting to not use crypto but some other medium?

    @Hamid: My knowledge of crypto is very limited that's why I need a teammate who is knowledgable in the matter so we can figure out a solution. :D
